Setti Belhouari participated in the organization of the team. She trained her teammates, developed the project plan, and delegated the tasks. She oversaw all wet-lab experimentations and provided technical assistance. Setti designed the yeast-homology platform plasmids and provided guidance and approval of the Gibson Assembly Platform. Finally, Setti applied for numerous funds to finance the team.

Victoria Feng contributed to the wet-lab by validating a set of plasmids for one-step cloning of yeast expression cassettes. She helped the dry-lab with website building. She also organized and conducted all of uOttawa iGEM team’s collaborations.

Emily Lam troubleshooted the use of traditional restriction endonucleases for assembly of the yeast-homology platform plasmids, in addition to attempting to incorporate amilCP into yeast. She also led the DEGREE program students, contributed to training, and oversaw the filming of protocols.

George Liu worked on providing a cheaper, alternative supply of DNA assembly reagents by expressing and purifying "homemade" enzymes. DNA Phusion, T5 exonuclease, and Taq Ligase). He was also responsible for the team’s graphic design (logo, banner, etc.), he assembled a sponsorship package, and applied for numerous funds for the team.

Taylor Lanosky learned about Type IIS assembly and applied what she learned to create a library of Type IIS-compatible plasmids and detailed protocol. She also worked on various documents within the protocol handbook.

Miléna Sokolowski developed a primer design software (in R and Python) to help the future students of iGEM make the best choices when using PCR. Miléna also learned about system biology and attempted to apply it to the experiments of the wet-lab. Finally, Miléna helped with the building of the website.

Iris Samputu helped with the website as well as applied for numerous funds to finance the team.

Jaycie Dalson lead human practice team, organized filming of laboratory protocols, and edited footage showing the E. coli transformation technique.

Nayaar Islam was a member of the human practices team and was tasked with editing footage showing e. coli DNA ligation and yeast inoculation.

Kisanet Kebedom was a member of the human practices team. She filmed the laboratory protocols and edited the footage showing the inoculation and miniprep techniques.

Claudia Natola was a member of the human practices team and assisted in the editing of laboratory protocol footage showing restriction digestion and pipetting.

Dr. Mads Kaern was the primary sponsor of the uOttawa iGEM team. He provided the team with lab space and financial support. Dr. Kaern also provided experimental insight.

Dr. Adam Rudner provided expertise, resources, and technical support for the expression and purification of our homemade enzymes.

Amanda Bentley-DeSousa (PhD candidate) provided technical insight regarding cloning in S. cerevisiae. She also trained Setti with the use of the fluorescence microscope.

Special thanks to
