Our Project
Our project focuses on developing a versatile platform for the degradation of a wide range of emerging contaminants consistently found in wastewater.
Modeling and Application
We created empirical models to predict the rates of biofilm growth and contaminant conversion. We also researched practical methods of implementation to ensure that our biofilms would be a viable solution for existing wastewater treatment plants.
Community engagement and education: human practices initiatives
Emerging contaminants affect everybody. We took steps to address the problem in our community by reaching out to the public and to our local authorities.
