University of Oslo

The University of Oslo is the oldest and best-ranked university in Norway. UiO offers a great variety of study options and contributes to important research internationally. As one way to offer support and motivate new thinking, UiO and Equinor have made an agreement called "Akademia-avtalen". The funds in the agreement can be allocated in areas both parts have interest in. Through this agreement, we received valuable financial support.

UiO: Life Science

Life sciences is the largest priority of The University of Oslo, resulting in the introduction of the initiative UiO:Life Science. The aim is to enhance research and innovation in the field of environment and health. We thank UiO:Life Science for their financial contribution through the Biomakerspace program to our project. Biomakerspace is a new initiative to provide students with funding and guidance to develop their innovative ideas into reality.

UiO: Department of Biosciences

The Department of Biosciences kindly provided us with laboratory access and basic laboratory equipments in the laboratories we used to perform our experiments.

Norsk Biokjemisk Selskap

The Norwegian Biochemical Society (NBS) works to promote biochemistry in Norway. The society represents Norwegian biochemistry internationally, and preserve the connection with international biochemical organizations. NBS sponsored us financially.

UiO: Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology

The Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology (SMN) is hosted by the Department of physics and the Department of chemistry at the University of Oslo. The centre partakes in outstanding interdisciplinary research, both nationally and internationally. Contacts within the centre gave us useful advice and provided materials for the building of the solar cell.

Twist Bioscience

Twist Bioscience is a biotechnology company which supports and promote innovation through their DNA synthesis. The company aids clients in the fields of agriculture, medicine, industrial chemistry and data storage in their mission to make the world better. Twist bioscience sponsored us with costumed designed DNA to use in cloning.

SINTEF

SINTEF is a company that embraces research and offers competence in a variety of areas from health and society to infrastructure and renewable energy. They were kind to sponsor us with materials and advice.

Integrated DNA Technologies

Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc (IDT) has through decades offered innovative tools and solutions for genomics application, which have inspired innovative scientists. IDT kindly offered sponsorship to all iGEM teams, and contributed to our success in cloning with their DNA synthesis.

LSS Creative

LSS Creative is a design company, based in Norway, that delivers design for both digital and analog surfaces - including product design, user experience, user interface, logo and brand design, signs and prints. Lars Sigurdson, the creative mind behind the company, contributed by designing our iGEM and project logos and esentially by creating the identity of our mascot E. soli.
