Why am I on iGEM ?
I participated to IGEM because I realized that it was different from other competitions. IGEM isn’t only about science, it is many-sided.
What did iGEM benefit you?
The most important thing IGEM added to me was the sense of responsibility and getting tasks done according to the schedule. Also it has taught me to work as a team.

Why am I on iGEM ?
Ever since I was little, I have had a passion towards science. From testing the laws of gravity with spaghetti pieces from my food tray to trying to catch every insect I could in the backyard. Plus I like challenging myself, and iGEM is one of the funnest challenges out there!
What did iGEM benefit you?
iGEM helped me to improve my knowledge and skills about the world that we live in as well as give me a chance to meet with students from all around the world!

Getting into MIT has been my dream since I was a little girl. When I heard that they had a competition on genetics, I joined this competition to learn new and advanced information.

Why am I on iGEM ?
I was really passionate about participating in the iGEM team of our school, because I am always interested in science and I want to learn more about it. I also want to do a profession in engineering or biology in the future so I think IGEM is really a big step for my future plans.
What did iGEM benefit you?
As a member of this team, I feel that I am improving myself on many different topics and I think this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance in my high school so I am really glad to be a part of this team and a part of IGEM family.

IGEM provides us a lot; we learn how to deal with everything by ourselves, how to work as a team and more. It may be a competition about science but that’s not all of it.
