Public Engagement
Promoting Synbio to our community and Understanding public interest
Our team has put large efforts to promote our project and general synthetic biology concepts to the general public and also tailored specifically to other iGEM teammates. We have participated in the week-long annual Hong Kong Joint School Science Exhibition (JSSE), presenting our project as well as raising awareness about genetic engineering and biotechnology. We actively engaged with public by presenting thematically-designed posters, organising DNA origami modelling workshops and answering important questions, like the ethics of employing genetic engineering in the area of therapeutics.
