Botchan Lab. Tokyo
Project
Lab
Our team has been searching for effective genetic
combinations which make E. coli resistant to radiation.
We’re trying to evaluate the efficacy of each gene against
radiation by comparing postradiation survival rate.
Modeling
When incorporating a plurality of gene parts, how the
survival rate changes with each hour, comparing the
various literature values, was predicted by combining.
In addition, the movement of survival rate was
visualized using a 3D graph.
Human Practice
Our team explored the possibilities of radioresistant
bacteria through various activities of human practice.
Also, through public engagement, we devised activities
to disseminate accurate information about genetic
modification technology, and try to make an opportunity
to convey the pleasures of synthetic biology.
