Judging Form

Judging Forms serve an essential role in the iGEM competition. The Judging Form is the primary way you will communicate your team's achievements with the judges.

When judges evaluate your team, they will look at your wiki, see your presentation, and come visit you at your poster. But judges have many wikis to evaluate and sometimes pages can be hard to find. They also might not know which of your parts is the best one, or the one they should evaluate for the "Best New Basic Part" or "Best New Composite Part" award.
Judging forms include evaluation criteria for medals, so make sure you have met the medal criteria for your track. Judging forms also allow teams to nominate themselves for special prizes.

Failure to successfully complete the Judging Form will prevent the judges from evaluating your team for medals and/or prizes. Make sure to pay attention to the judging form requirements

Completing your Judging Form

Deadline: October 16 at 11:59PM EDT

Please note this deadline is BEFORE the Wiki Freeze (October 21 at 11:59PM EDT) and the Registry Freeze (October 21 at 11:59PM EDT) and is a hard deadline. No extensions will be provided, no exceptions!

You can access your by clicking on your team name and selecting judging form at the top.

Judging Form requirements

  1. You MUST complete your judging form by filling in the 150 word description boxes AND editing the required link page on your wiki. These wiki page URLs are clearly defined on the judging form and the full list of pages for medals and awards can also be found online here: https://2019.igem.org/Judging/Pages_for_Awards

  2. You MUST remove the alert box for any awards you plan to compete for on your wiki pages. See here for more information: https://2019.igem.org/Judging/Pages_for_Awards

  3. You MUST create Registry Part Pages (see Add a Part for details) for all parts that you intend to submit for medal criteria and for part awards. Important: You cannot add part pages to the judging form after the judging form deadline, so the pages must be created by October 16 at 11:59PM EDT. You can continue to add information to those pages until the Registry Freeze, which is October 21 at 11:59PM EDT. All Part Pages must be finished and updated by the Registry Freeze deadline.

  4. The judging form MUST be finalized on October 16 at 11:59PM EDT. You cannot come back to edit it later and you will not be eligible for any awards that you don't tell us about on the judging form. This is a hard deadline and no extensions will be allowed (no exceptions!).
