Collaborations
Throughout the course of this season, we were fortunate enough to have worked with the Florida State University’s 2019 iGEM Team. After sharing each other’s project goals and ambitions, we helped each other troubleshoot and pivot into new strategies. Even something as small as sharing a protocol on agro-transformations helped make the difference between a successful experiment and a failed experiment. Their Human Practices Team helped us brainstorm new ways to engage the community and ultimately create a new HP plan.
Midway through the season, we were contacted by Samantha Cheng, head of the wiki subteam on Rice University’s iGEM Team. We participated in a meta-analysis study, in which RICE was investigating the effects of location and environment on the success of iGEM Teams across the world.
Over the summer, we collaborated with the Lambert iGEM Team by giving a lecture at their annual Biotechnology Boot Camp for rising 8th and 9th graders. See our Human Practices Page for more information on this
