Our Member

Team Leader

Ruijia Liu, Keyu Wu, Xiaoli Zhang and Haineng Huang were our team leaders. They coordinated the whole team to push the project forward. Meanwhile, Xiaoli Zhang was responsible for the guidance of human practices and the design of our brochure. Haineng Huang was responsible for overall project guidance.

Database

Data-integration Group

Jianan Sun, Yangruirui Zhou were mainly responsible for constructing database and filtering data. Compared to last year's project, they integrated more databases on the basis of the iGEM Registry to expand information of biobricks. They also wrote a one-click update program, which ensured the timeliness and integrity of the data.

Backend Group

Xin Jin, Chuhao Dou and Yining Zhang took the responsibility of the backend development of the website based on the Laravel framework. They classified the information in the database and presented the needed data on the website. They introduced innovative features such as Elasticsearch, promoter prediction and BLAST to the site, making BioMaster a feature-rich, data-complete, user-friendly synthetic biology database .

Web Front-end Group

Chen Li and Qinxuan Bai were our front-end web developers. They were fully in charge of front-end web page code implementation.

New Function

Huayi Yang was mainly responsible for enzyme function prediction. Besides, machine learning was used to implement prediction function which provided probabilistic enzymatic function by predicting the EC number of an uncharacterized protein sequence.
Zhenxiang Xiao focued on developing a user-friendly tool, which helped users create or modify genetic components in genetic circuits and other biological systems visually.

Human Practices

Xiaoli Zhang, Xinyue Yang and Yangruirui Zhou were devoted to Human Practices. They organized a bunch of interesting activities to promote synthetic biology. Besides, they conducted some surveys and questionnaires for iGEM teams and professors about the problems they encountered. Meanwhile, they visited bio-technology companies and institutes to enhance our project.

Art Designers

Xiaoyan Zhang and Luxuan Guo were mainly responsible for the design. They were in charge of posters and PPTs for the 2019 Southwestern Exchange Conference and CCiC, including the design of website page and illustrations of wiki and posters. Additionally, Xiaoyan Zhang drew cartoons for our brochure and Luxuan Guo was responsible for the BioMaster 2.0’s interfacial design.

BioME Developer

Xinyue Yang and Kefei Li designed our board game----BioME. Xinyue Yang completed the art design of the game. And Kefei Li developed the online version of BioME. They were fully in charge of creating this game.

Our PI

Beibei Wang

She was our main Primary PI. She guided us to identify our topic and design the whole project. Besides, she supervised us and put forward a lot of useful advice as well. Moreover, she gave a series of valuable advice about the design of wiki and PPT to us.

Fengbiao Guo

He was our Secondary PI. He attended each group meeting and gave his precious suggestions to us, which helped us a lot.

Our Instructor

Ling Quan

Her guidance on how to build a harmonious team successfully was worth mentioning. She taught us how to become united as a family.
