Project Design

The whole team brainstormed and decided to further research in cancer therapy.

Meng Chen, Guanyu Chen, Anrui Liu and Jiayuan Sheng generate the first version of CITHA. with the instruction of Prof. Hong Tian (our PI) and advice from Prof. Shuying Ho (the professor we interviewed in HP).

After talked with Dr. Cunen Wu and Dr. Bofan Ling, Meng Chen, Anrui Liu discussed with PI and further improved the project: CITHA 2.0.

Acknowledgment

Hong Tian

Prof. Tian is our PI and she led the whole project. She offered us project-oriented training, essays about cancer immunotherapy and a booklist of Synthetic Biology. She introduced cancer neoantigen and helped us designed CITHA 1.0. When we intend to make a safer system, she told us the mechanism of miRNA and ceRNA. She is also responsible for our lab safety. In general, she offered lots of constructive advice on project design and experiment planning.

Wanli Zhang

Wanli is our instructor and he spared no effort helping us in experiments. He taught us how to operate instruments, guide us through the experiment, helped us in result analysis and revised “project” part in wiki. Wanli also ensured the lab safety. When we met troubles in experiment, it was always Wanli that taught us to solve problems.

Huandi Xu

Huandi is former student leader of CPU_CHINA and we are glad to invite him as our advisor. As an experienced iGEMer, Huandi had a deep understanding of iGEM and provided useful tips for us. We were also willing to discuss arrangement of the project, including experiment and HP, with him and always received constructive suggestions. Moreover, he built a bridge between us and CPU_CHINA so we can have extensive collaboration with this experienced iGEM team.

Nan Zhang

As iGEM Asia ambassador, Miss. Zhang demonstrated the core value of iGEM human practices, which inspired our design of HP. We also consulted her about how to conduct effective HP activities.

Yuanrong Fan

Yuanrong taught our model group members in modeling methods and using ZDOCK. When Ruoyao and Chuanyang met troubles in modeling, Yuanrong showed great patience in finding solutions with them.

Huiyuan Cai

Ms. Cai is from the ethics committee of Jiangsu Province Center for Disease Control & Prevention. She warmly gave us a lot of bioethics essays and helped us contact Prof. Cong and Dr. Hu.

Qingyang Wu

Qingyang is a former iGEMer from Nanjing_NFLS. We continued using the team logo he designed last year. He offered help in drawing vector version of CITHA project logo.

Yiyang Zhu

Yiyang is the former iGEMer from CPU_CHINA. He guided us in wiki construction and offered advice on wiki layout design.
