This year our team's topic on education and public participation is “Thinking Together”. We achieve our goals mainly through three levels. First, we carry out social exchanges . We try to generate public participation through on-site publicity. After that, we spread our projects and research ideas through education. Finally, we invited all walks of life to participate in the thinking time through the form of a debate.
“Future Plan”
We clearly understand that the relationship between technology and human does not end in one generation, but generation after generation, so our team is determined to spend our personal time cultivating the next generation of synthetic biology talents. We reached with high school attached to Dalian University of Technology long-term teaching and experimental training plan, and we call this program "in the future of synthetic biology". Our weekly often 1.5 hours of classroom instruction, mainly taught some basic idea of synthetic biology and interpreted the specific cases of synthetic biology. At the same time, we invited some high school students to have a laboratory vacation for some professional micro experiments.
The Carnival
This year is both the 70th anniversary of the founding of China and 70th anniversary Dalian University of Technology, our team held the propaganda on the anniversary carnival. We show our project anniversary and our petri dishes for celebration at the scene, and also invited everyone to participate in our activity. At the same time, we also responded audience's questions and concerns at the scene, we talked with them and propagandized synthetic biology concept to them.
