Software

The software part was used for analysing the temperature probes. Also, used for the calibration and coding for the sensors.

Software Explaination

We have a closed loop system for controlling the temperature to which the liquid inside the glass tube heats up. We are using LM35 a popular DIY electronics sensor to sense the temperature of the liquid inside the glass tube. Once the temperature of the liquid to be sterilised reaches a certain predetermined value, the Arduino Uno Micro-controller with a help of a relay switch, cuts off the power supply to the nichrome wire. We have wrapped the glass tube with a nichrome wire and the wire heats up when sufficient amount of current is pass through it. We are using a SMPS to obtain a DC voltage which can be applied across the nichrome wire. The current temperature of the liquid can be seen on the TM1637 display.

We had covered the LM35 sensor into aluminium foil (2) so that it heats up evenly and had used heat shrink (1) to make sure that the legs are not short circuited.
