Team Member

Zhang Songyuan

Zhang Songyuan, the team leader, is a senior student from the School of Life Sciences. He used to be the youngest team member of 2017 Peking iGEM and "made a comeback" as the oldest one (not in age) this year. It is a big challenge for a senior in application season to draw the blueprint and keep an overview of the project while doing his own lab works, but he successfully managed it. Aside from iGEM, he enjoys travelling and has left his footprints in China's all 34 provinces!

Wang Yiwen

Wang Yiwen is a junior student from School of Life Sciences, Peking University. She enjoys discussion and debates on academic issues about synthetic biology. Outside lab, she loves musicals and operas.

Sun Siman

Sun Siman is an undergraduate majoring Clinical Medicine. She is very interested in synthetic biology, and enjoys working and learning in iGEM. Wetlab experiments, human practices and collaborations with other teams are all fantastic experiences for her.

Yang Leran

Yang Leran is a junior student from School of Life Sciences, Peking University. Being curious to the synthetic biology , he joins the Peking iGEM team. Outside lab, he loves anime like One Piece. Besides, he enjoys traveling during his holiday.

Zhang Le

Zhang Le, an undergraduate from School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University. She thinks taking part in the experiments with her partners is very interesting. And she enjoys everyday work during days when we come up with good ideas and optimize them little by little.

Qiao Xiaoying

Qiao Xiaoying, an undergraduate student majoring in clinical medicine. She loves challenges and She is interested in synthetic biology. Using microbes to create new tools which makes sense in our daily life is a proud thing. She has also learned a lot from this experience.

Wei Boxing

Wei boxing is interested in synthetic biology, medicine and data science. In the iGEM program, he was responsible for human practice and the artistical work. He wants to become an excellent doctor like Dr.House in the television medical drama.

Li Boyan

Li Boyan is a sophomore majoring in Integrated Science, Yuanpei College, Peking University. He is interested in synthetic biology and systems biology and has learnt a lot from iGEM and other iGEMers. He enjoys playing the piano and table tennis during his free time.

He Qing

He Qing is from School of Basic Medical Science, Peking University. He is a versatile person. He loves mathematics, biology, computer programming, calligraphy, piano, guitar, singing and hip-hop. He just loves the feeling of being "Jack of all trades" - a person for everything~~

Cui Bofei

Cui Bofei is a sophomore majoring in Integrated Science of Yuanpei College, Peking University. He is interested in almost all kinds of films and is willing to make friends with who also loves watching films.

Shi Yiqiang

Shi yiqiang is a sophomore student from School of Pharmaceutical Science. He learns a lot from the Peking iGEM team, and loves working with his partners. By the way, he often plays table tennis when he is free.

Liao Zhizhao

Liao Zhizhao is a sophomore majoring in Integrated Science of Yuanpei College, Peking University. He joined iGEM to learn more about synthetic biology. He loves to read novels written by Isaac Asimov.
