iGEM 2019 Particpant and team registration
This is the central page for iGEM 2019 team registration.
Here you will find the following:
the registration process,
creating or updating your iGEM account,
joining an existing team or registering a new one,
reviewing a team registration, and
Payment and verification.
From here you can create or join a team, check the status of your team, and enter all of the information needed to participate in iGEM 2019.
If you would like to register your research lab, please go to the lab registration page.
Step 1 - Learn about the registration process
Registration for iGEM includes registering users, registering teams, maintaining team rosters, distinguishing instructors from students, paying team fees, receiving the DNA kit of parts, registering for the Jamboree, and more. There are various resources for you to use to understand the registration process.
High School and Community Labs teams register using this form, but have additional registration requirements. You will need to specify if your team is a High School or Community Labs team at the beginning of registration and cannot change this later.
Step 2 - Create or update your iGEM account
Every participant in iGEM 2019 needs a user account. This one account will let you apply for a new team, give you access to the tools of the Registry, let you add or edit parts, and let you edit the contents of the iGEM and Registry Wikis. If you already have an account, please update it with any new information for iGEM 2019.
See the black menu bar to Login or see your user account.
Step 3 - Join an existing team or register a new team
Your team may already have already applied to iGEM 2019. Once its application is accepted, you can join the team using a membership code given to you by the PI or by applying for membership and waiting for approval from the PI. Only a team's PI may apply for a new iGEM team.
Step 4 - Continue or review team registration
Only the PI may submit the team information. The PI will need to provide a brief resource descriptionto show that they understand the resources that will be required.
Step 5 - Payment and verification
Pay your team registration fee at the link provided. Team applications will not be processed until the team registration fee has been received. iGEM Headquarters will email the PIs of new teams to verify basic registration information and request additional information before accepting the application. If you are a new user, you will have full access to use all Registry and wiki tools once your account is approved and your team's application is accepted.
