Our Story
Team ULaval is from Université Laval (Quebec, Canada). We proudly represent the only Canadian-French-speaking team in the competition. We have existed for only two years and since the beginning, we are registered provincially and federally as a non-profit organization. The team consists of seventeen members divided into five committees: coordination, finances, communication, science, and scientific affairs. Nearly half of the members are women (girl power!). We are a mix of undergrad, MSc. and Ph.D. students. Eight fields of study are represented within the team: microbiology, biochemistry, biology, bioinformatics, industrial engineering, administration, biomedical sciences, and chemistry. All unpaid members work on the project, in parallel with their studies, work and personal life (what's that?). All the work is done by the students. We are supervised by three advisors and have had excellent advice from professors and professionals.
