About Our Project
Air Freshener
- Purify water through boosting the photosynthesis process of algae

Our Technology
Our prototype is an elegant cylinder that incorporates Carbonic Anhydrase (CA), a bubble disk, and a blender to help increase the CO2 solubility in water, physically and chemically. Cyanobacteria are added to consume the excess CO2 in water while output CO2 concentration is monitored instantaneously.
Modeling
We modeled the concentration of carbon dioxide with the workings of our device through time. Different factors influencing the model, such as the number of people and the volume of the room, are taken into consideration within the calculations and can be adjusted to different values. Ultimately, the model reveals the positive effects the device has on indoor CO2 levels.
