Modeling

Above is the quorum sensing regulatory network that we have based our model off of. At this point, the transcription factor activity is not well understood. The goal is to use a system of ordinary differential equations translated from the regulatory network. This will allow for multi-compartment analysis. Essentially, once we characterize the model we will have a global description of quorum sensing interactions, as seen in the first photo below. To do this, we will start by understanding the Fluorescent Response of the system we created. As seen in the second image below, at low concentration of AIP expression, there was no fluorescent response. At higher concentrations, fluorescent response is activated. This is what we expected considering biology and literature. So, our next step is to use the parts we created to further characterize this fluorescent response. We are currently working on doing this in a similar manner as the measurement protocol we conducted in our contributions.
