REGISTER

The Jamboree attendance fee for the iGEM 2019 Giant Jamboree is $845 USD per team attendee for on-site registration (including students, instructors, and advisors).

Details

All iGEM teams who wish to present at the Giant Jamboree must register at least one team member by the Regular Registration deadline (extended to September 3, 2019, 11:59PM EDT).
All iGEM team members are welcome to attend, including students, instructors, professors, and advisors.
Guests are welcome to register online up until the late registration deadline.
Onsite registration will be available at the late registration price.
All Jamboree attendees must register and wear their badge at all times. Only confirmed registrants will receive badges.

Registration for the iGEM 2019 Giant Jamboree is now only available on-site. During the Giant Jamboree, please go to the registration area on the 2nd Floor of the Hynes Convention Center and register at the available kiosks.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR JAMBOREE CHECK-IN

Registration and Check-In Hours

Registration and check-in will be available at the second floor Boylston Hallway during the following hours:

Thursday October 31 - 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday November 1 - 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday November 2 - 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Sunday November 3 - 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Monday November 4 - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Pre-Registered Team Members

This year, attendee check-in at the Jamboree will be done by team, rather than on an individual basis. Each team should designate one team member as the Registration Representative; This individual will be responsible for picking up the Registration Representative Packet, which includes the team's attendee badges and more. Team materials will be filed by official iGEM team name; Please double check your official team name on the team list prior to arriving at the Hynes. On-Site Registrants

Materials of team members who have not completed their registration payment will not be included in the Registration Representative Packet. Unpaid team member(s) must make payment and pick up their registration materials at the Customer Service booth on the second floor, Boylston Hallway.

Likewise, guests wishing to purchase registration on-site may do so at the Customer Service booth. Keep reading below for more information about on-site registration.

By registering to attend, you secure your team presentation slot and poster slot at the Giant Jamboree. If your team does not register to attend one member by September 3, we will assume that you will not be attending the Giant Jamboree and your team will not receive an assignment.

General Public

General public attendees, including family and friends, are welcome to attend the iGEM Giant Jamboree, on a space available basis. All guests must register and pay the Jamboree attendance fees. Entrance to all Jamboree events is dependent on space availability. Preference is given to iGEM team members, team instructors, team affiliates, followed by general public.

What's Included

Your Jamboree registration fee includes a team presentation slot, a team poster location, side events, a social event, and the awards ceremony. The registration will also cover refreshments during breaks and poster sessions, as well as lunches.

** Note: day-passes do not include refreshments or lunch.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds for cancellations for the Giant Jamboree registration fee received in writing on or before September 3, 2019, will be granted less a $50 processing fee. Requests should be sent to hq [AT] igem [DOT] org. No refunds will be granted after that date. No refunds will be given for portions of the registration not being used. All refunds will be made in US dollars and will be processed in the manner in which the original payment was submitted, with the possible exception of wire payments which, at the organizers' discretion, may be refunded via check. If a refund is made via wire transfer, any bank fees will be deducted from the refund. Credit card refunds will be issued to the card that was used to make the original payment.

iGEM is not responsible for cancellations or the inability of an individual to travel due to weather, threat of terrorism, act of God, and other events beyond iGEM's control.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Individuals attending the Giant Jamboree may now only register on-site.

The following payment methods will be accepted at on-site registration: cash, credit card. If you will pay for multiple registrants by foreign or personal credit card, please inform your bank in advance of the transaction to ensure that the payment is not rejected on-site.

Credit Card MasterCard, Visa, Discover & AMEX	You may submit online credit card payments via the team payment form at the following registration site: Giant Jamboree - http://www.cvent.com/d/66qx36/4W If you encounter a credit card error, it is usually one of these two issues: 1) personal credit cards often reject international payments - please call the credit card company to inform them you will be making a payment to the US, or 2) institutional credit cards often have per-transaction limits - please make partial payments of $1000 or less until the full balance has been paid.
Check in USD, drawn on a US bank, made payable to iGEM Foundation	After completing the registration form (link provided above), print your invoice and mail with check payment to: iGEM Foundation iGEM 2019/Your Team Name 27 Drydock Avenue Suite 27E-230 Boston, MA 02210, USA It is recommended that you send your check payment via a traceable delivery method, such as UPS, Fedex, or DHL, to ensure successful delivery.
Wire Transfer Please allow enough time for the transfer to arrive by the deadline (3-5 business days)	After your submission of the team payment form (link provided above), see the wire transfer information page for details on how to submit payment via wire transfer. Be sure to confirm the bank account information is correct before proceeding with the wire transfer.

INVOICES

An invoice will be available upon completion of the iGEM 2019 Giant Jamboree attendance form at the registration websites listed above. To request an invoice at a later date, return to the registration website above, enter the email address previously used to complete the form and click on 'View or Change your Existing Registration' and log in with the email address and password previously used to complete the form. From there you will be able to access a copy of your invoice.
