We have designed two composite parts for our project.

We have constructed the composite part BBa_K2943000 - the pyocin cluster, without the tail fiber gene (prf15). This part contains the pyocin cluster from gene prf5-24, with a prf15 (tail fiber gene) knock out. Once activated, this Biobrick will produce a tail-less pyocin particle that would become active once it connects to a tail fiber protein.

BBa_K2943012 is a Biobrick that has two tail fiber gene options, each one with its own inducible regulation. This way, our system is able to produce different pyocins with a unique killing spectrum under different sets of molecular inputs.
