A Microbial Manufacturing Band-aid

Mfp, a celebrated group of protein, the source of our project,

the material that is biologically nontoxic, bio-compatible and waterproof.

This kind of protein have many applications and prospective development.

Project Overview

The focus of our team’s project is producing a more comprehensive and convenient kind of band-aid via biological means in our project.

Key Proteins

• 01: mgfp5

  The basic protein we are elaborating on. This protein exhibits fundamental strength, viscidity, and water proof effect.

• 02: Tyr

  An enzyme, key to our project because of its effect to promote the viscidity of the mgfp5 protein.

• 03: mgfp5-masp1

  A fused protein, merging the sticky mgfp5 with the masp1 protein. The great improvement in our parts design.
