OVERVIEW
What is hypertension?
According to the World Health Organization, blood pressure is the force exerted by circulating blood against the walls of the body’s arteries, the major blood vessels in the body. Hypertension is when blood pressure is too high.
Hypertension is diagnosed if, when it is measured on two different days, the systolic blood pressure readings on both days is ≥140 mmHg and/or the diastolic blood pressure readings on both days is ≥90 mmHg[1].
There is contradiction here
The incidence of hypertension and complications is so severe, but it is not taken seriously. It is a contradiction.
Hypertension should not have been so serious. Hypertension should not be so serious, but the public is resistant to drugs and does not follow the doctor's advice. It is another contradiction.
If these contradictions are not resolved, the poor state of high blood pressure will not be resolved.
Current strategy
In response to the awkward situation, the current response measures are: physical therapy, drug therapy, and popularization of health knowledge.
Physical Therapy
  • Reducing salt intake (to less than 5g daily)
  • Eating more fruit and vegetables
  • Being physically active on a regular basis
  • Avoiding use of tobacco
  • Reducing alcohol consumption
  • Limiting the intake of foods high in saturated fats
  • Eliminating/reducing trans fats in diet
  • Reducing and managing mental stress
Drug Therapy
In China, hypertension medication can be divided into single-agent initial treatment and combined initial treatment according to the level of hazard[2]. The overview is shown below.

Popularization of Health Knowledge
Although the government departments also organize science popularization of hypertension, the effect is not obvious. Maybe everyone is not paying enough attention to it.
Our solutions
In order to solve the contradiction between the serious harm of hypertension and the lack of attention, and the contradiction between lifelong medication and resistance to drugs, we have proposed two complete solutions.
Above all, we believe that improving the public's health literacy is the fundamental solution to the problem of high blood pressure. Therefore, we have carried out a series of activities to raise public awareness of the prevention and treatment of hypertension.
  • Lectures for both the elderly and young people
  • Hold Free clinic
  • Pay special attention to the countryside
  • Promote with social media
  • Hold a debate
  • Make brochure
In addition, we have developed antihypertensive products that meet the wishes of consumers. To this end, we visited all possible relevant interest groups.
  • Visit experts
  • Do research
  • Consult government departments
  • Consult Doctors
  • Interview patients
  • Visit company
